Story of this paining: A friend visited my studio last year, and we talked about how the body holds so much wisdom—constantly communicating with us, storing experiences in our muscles and nervous system. We discussed how the body is a portal to an emotional wisdom that’s often overlooked and underestimated in our overly intellectual times. We live so much in our heads, missing the vast connection we share with all living things. This conversation inspired two paintings. This is the first one.
